These stores range from 1,500 – 5,000 sq ft and have been segregated into three zones of browse, service and destination.
The first store designed by Madison+rkd retail/iQ is launched in South Mumbai to offer latest gadgets to the tech-savvy urbanites. Croma Zip offers a trendy and dynamic ambience while retaining the essence of its mother brand Croma Megastore.
The design concept involves a clear and organized layout; the fixture system promotes merchandise presentation in a comfortable self selection. The store encourages browsing and trying through tables and experience zones. The mid floor is used to highlight the best of products and navigates customers around the space. The circle used in the communication acts as a graphic device and provides another visual distinction within the store communication.
Madison+rkd retail /iQ is responsible for all creative expressions, name generation, brand and environmental graphic programmes, retail planning + design, construction documentation and retail design manual.
Reliance Timeout’s objective was to convert customers from passive to active by giving them a better retail experience and higher customer satisfaction. A race track or looping drive plan was used to encourage customers to circulate through the entire store on a journey of discovery.
The destination merchandise categories of books and entertainment will offer dominance in assortment and act as key category anchors and traffic drivers to the format. The complimentary categories of stationery, CDIT, gifts, games & toys and café have selected assortments that give the entire merchandise mix a unique to the market combination.
Madison+rkd retail i/Q was responsible for all creative expressions of planning, design and documentation and has worked on the 3 stores in Ambi Mall, Gurgaon, Prestige Feroze Mall, Bangalore and O mall, Kochi totaling to approximately 60,000 sq. ft.
Croma Megastore is India's first national, large format, specialist retail chain for consumer electronics, IT and durables.
Although the design concept was in place and few stores have been rolled out, Croma wanted Madison + rkd retail/iQ to upgrade the stores to create a fresh look and feel.

In terms of retail planning and design the store is located in the phoenix grand galleria mall. The plan type is race track which encourages customers to circulate through the entire store on journey to discovery

Godrej Nature's Basket is the first-of-its-kind store selling a wide range of vegetables, fruits and herbs, both local and exotic. Madison was involved in the re-launch of the store as an 'authentic world food' stores. There has been a shift in the brand positioning of Nature's Basket by ushering in a new international flavor.
Nature's Basket also offers value added services like an in-house nutritionist who will give the consumers detailed information on the nutritional value of the vegetables, fruits and herbs.

Madison+rkdretail/iQ embarked on the design of the Aadhaars, to create a shopping environment that has an urban feel and yet not intimidating for the rural customers by synergizing the 'urbaneness' with a touch of local flavour in terms of its interior and communication treatments.
